The Late Estate Broomberg & Chanarin

Broomberg & Chanarin, an artistic duo worked together for 23 years between London and Berlin. They had numerous solo exhibitions, participated in international group shows and received major awards including the ICP Infinity Award (2014) for Holy Bible, and the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize (2013) for War Primer 2. Their work is held in major public and private collections including Centre Pompidou, Tate, MoMA, Yale, Stedelijk, V&A, the Art Gallery of Ontario, Cleveland Museum of Art, and Baltimore Museum of Art.

After their creative partnership was terminated on the 20th of February 2021, a 13-metre-long articulated truck, loaded with crates containing the artist’s entire archive, departed for Barcelona marking the start of the “funerary procession” for the pair’s collaboration. Reaching the destination it provided materials for the duo’s first ‘posthumous retrospective’ at El Centro d’Art Contemporani  Fabra i Coats, in Barcelona.

Their Estate is managed by A/Political.
